About Me

Elizabeth Baines. MA (Complementary Health Studies - University of Exeter), RGN, NDN, LFHom(Nurse), Dip Palliative Care, Dip Aromatherapy & Massage, Reiki Master/Teacher, FAETC. Member Complementary Therapists Association.

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1985 and District Nurse in 1987.  I later went on to work for many years as a speciaist nurse in cancer care.  I now lead the complementary health service for a specialist palliative care charity in Dorset and also advise on the setting up and integration of complementary therapy services for the statutory and non-statutory sector.  I have  been involved with national and Government initiatives on the safe integration of complementary therapies in palliative care and I also teach and lecture on a regular basis, nationally and internationally.

I have always been passionate about complementary therapies and seeing the benefits of complementary therapies to patients I decided to train in Massage and Aromatherapy (1997).  I have since gained my MA in Complementary Health Studies from the University of Exeter (2002) and Reiki Master/Teacher (2005).  I also hold a recognised adult education teaching certificate (1994) and am a Licenced Associate of the Faculty of Homeopathy.
